Privacy Policy

Overview

CashFlowEngine.app ("the App") is a retirement cash flow calculator designed to help individuals model their financial future. We are committed to your privacy. This policy describes how the App handles information, including the limited, anonymous analytics data described below.

Data We Do Not Collect

CashFlowEngine.app does not collect, store, transmit, or share any of your personal or financial planning information. Specifically, we do not collect:

• Names, email addresses, or contact information
• Financial account numbers, balances, or transaction data
• Any of the retirement-plan inputs or results you enter into the App (ages, income, savings, spending, tax settings, simulation outputs, etc.)
• Social Security numbers or government identifiers
• Precise location data
• Device identifiers or advertising IDs
• Individually identifiable usage or behavioral data — see below for the limited, anonymous analytics we do use
• Crash reports or diagnostic data sent to us

How Your Data Is Stored

All information you enter into CashFlowEngine.app — including retirement ages, account balances, income figures, and spending assumptions — is stored exclusively on your device using the device's local storage. This data:

• Never leaves your device
• Is not backed up to any server operated by CashFlowEngine.app
• Is not accessible to the developer or any third party
• Can be deleted at any time by uninstalling the App or clearing App data in your device settings

Anonymous Usage & Performance Analytics

CashFlowEngine.app uses Vercel Web Analytics and Vercel Speed Insights, two privacy-focused services from our hosting provider, Vercel Inc., to understand overall traffic and catch performance problems. These run automatically whenever you load the App and send the following anonymous, aggregate technical information to Vercel's servers:

• The page/route loaded and the referring site, if any
• Approximate location (country/region, derived from network address — not precise GPS location)
• Device type, operating system, and browser (e.g. "Mobile, iOS, Safari")
• Network connection speed
• Page-load performance metrics ("Core Web Vitals" such as load and responsiveness timing)
• Timestamp of the visit

This is the same category of information a web server logs by default — it does not include anything you type into the App. None of your names, ages, balances, income, spending, tax settings, or simulation results are ever included in this data, because that information never leaves your device in the first place (see "How Your Data Is Stored" above).

Neither service uses cookies or persistent device identifiers, and neither can identify you individually or link your visits across other apps or websites. Visitors are distinguished only by a one-way hash of the incoming request, and Web Analytics automatically discards that hash after 24 hours. CashFlowEngine.app does not use any advertising networks, third-party trackers, or data-sharing services beyond the two listed above.

No Account Required

CashFlowEngine.app requires no account creation, login, or registration. You can use the full functionality of the App without providing any identifying information.

Children's Privacy

CashFlowEngine.app is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect any information from children.

Changes to This Policy

If we ever change this privacy policy in a material way — for example, adding or removing a third-party service, or changing what data it collects — we will update the effective date above and note the changes in the App's release notes.

Update, July 21, 2026: This policy was revised to accurately disclose the anonymous Vercel Web Analytics and Speed Insights services described above, which were already in use but had not previously been disclosed here. Nothing about what these services collect changed; only this policy's description of it did.
